SEC offers B.Tech in a good number of disciplines like Computer Science, Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering etc. The courses are approved by AICTE, Delhi and affiliated to BPUT, Rourkela. The student can pursue financial assistance from various scholarship schemes like Medhabruti, Prerana, Minority Community Scholarship etc. as per their eligibility. It also accepts students with TFW quota. The main aim of SEC is not only to produce technically competent students but also encourage society to take steps towards the reforming of trends and technologies that draw lines between duty and dream. It allows students to customize their programs to meet their objectives and particular career goal.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission

With a view to provide instant employment to the pass-out Diploma holders, the Institution offers following disciplines.

For admission in to 1st year B.Tech Course a candidate must have passed 10+2 Examination of CHSE or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and one from Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Biotechnology or passed in 10+3 years Engineering Diploma including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate form SCTE&VT Odisha or equivalent. For admission in to 2nd year B.Tech (LATERAL ENTRY) a candidate must have passed in 10+3 years Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate form SCTE&VT Odisha or equivalent.

Admission Procedures

Admission Process And Eligibility For Admission B. Tech (Regular) : 4 years

For admission into 1st year B.Tech programme a student has to appear for JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (JEE MAIN) conducted by CBSE. For details please visit www.jeemain.nic.in . After successful completion of +2 Science with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/ Computer Science with a minimum of 45% of aggregate marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry /Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science is a must.

B. Tech Lateral Entry (B.Sc): 3 years

Passed Bachelor’s Degree Examination of three years duration in Science from University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) and must have passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

Passed three years diploma examination (two years in case of Lateral entry Diploma) in Engineering /Technology from State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT). Lower age 14 Years and no bar for upper age.

B. Tech Lateral Entry (Diploma Engineering): 3 Years
