Brief History

Sundargarh Engineering College, Sundargarh started in the year 2007 is one of the premier Technical Institution in the Western Odisha. It offers 4 years B.Tech courses (03 years for Lateral entry) in different Engineering branches with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, recognized by Government of Odisha and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) Rourkela.

The Institute has been situated at KIREI just at a motorable distance from the District headquarter Sundargarh and is most easily approachable by the State Highway-10 connecting Sambalpur-Jharsuguda-Sundargar & Rourkela. It is surrounded by the extensions of OUAT Research Centre, Kendriya Vidyalaya & Model School. It’s superb serene beneath the Western mountains of Odisha, by the side of IB river, in a cool and clean climate and pollution free environment that induce the mind of the Students to study deeply. The scenic beauty of this area is enhanced with the surroundings of unmatched tranquility.

The Institution is promoted by Institute of Technical Training a Society for the development of Technical Education. We ensure tangible success for our inmates in the Technical field by building up their confidence and skill through our continuous effort on Teaching, Guidance and Placement by a team of dedicated staff.

Sundargarh Engineering College, sundargarh is being run under the aegis of ITT Group has earned its own niche across the State. At our institute, we provide multifaceted development where students and staff are encouraged to channelize their hidden potential in pursuit of excellence. This can be made a reality in a holistic, student centric environment.

The Management is putting best efforts to bring a dynamic change in setting up of good infrastructure oriented towards giving an exposure in the emerging field of engineering for both students and staff as well. The college presently has chosen 360 degree development of career for students and staff to excel in the technical field.

Sundargarh Engineering College is motivating students to work more on inter-disciplinary projects which will useful to the society through the innovation centers established in the campus. The Training and Placement team at our College is very vibrant and active. They focus on technical and soft skills to the students to face the interviews and get the offers from prestigious organizations.
